ever have one of those days where everything is a little off-center? things are as well as they can be, but still something doesn't feel quite right? that's what my days have been like for the past few weeks. conversations, workflow, mindset and whatever else on the outside appear to be ok. but inside things are just a little off. even my recent conversation with sir was "out of whack" today.
perhaps a combination of stress, adjusting to new situations, lack of sleep and time are contributing factors to this "off" feeling i'm experiencing. or maybe i'm descending from the emotionally charged high i've been experiencing over the past few months. whatever this grey cloud is that's looming, i hope it passes soon. and takes with it no more than what it's already snared when it leaves. ugh. i hate this feeling...
be blessed.

my life ...
as a freelancer:
coming to a slow, slow crawl. on purpose of course. new duties and challenges are arising and since i'm not superwoman, i've got to cut back. it's for a greater, healthier cause, though.
as a student:
the reason freelancing is slowing down. i start classes on thursday. i sincerely hope that i enjoy and learn from this three-year long journey. i pray that i'll get into a groove with a workable schedule for this. full steam ahead!
as a frantic mac user:
my iMac is dying. and i'm so, so sad about it. i mean i was planning on upgrading my machinery, but on my own time. not because my "baby" is taking a slow walk toward techy heaven. it's like watching someone on death row. clear the halls, dead iMac walking :( and i'm in a race against the "execution" as i hurriedly copy files/programs and other data to the laptop. tick tock tick
as an employee:
a might frazzled to say the least. we are down to a two-person division until almost the end of the year. one person is out on glorious maternity leave. the other left for greener, better paying pastures. i find no fault in leaving for better job opportunities. however, we are not left with a lot of unanswered questions, procedures and it's not good at all. we, with the help of our asst. director and two interns, are muddling through. the stress level is a little high right now, but we'll make it through. i just hope we don't lose our minds in the process.
as a catalyst:
after a serious talk and cattle prodding, my brother is FINALLY making a decision to go to school and pursue one of his many life-long goals! as big sister, i now take up the charge to help kindle that fire and keep the excitement going until he is on his way to that goal.
as a girl hopelessly in love:
le sigh. what can i say? i'm in love and not ashamed to admit it. this guy has totally stolen my heart. "sir" is completely awesome and i love him so much! even though we're miles apart at the moment, i feel so close to him. how did i get so blessed? i never in a million years thought i'd be so IN to anyone as i am with this man. and his friends? FABULOUS! hat's off to you, my dear "sir."
be versatile. be chameleon. be blessed.
