boy, you're a talker...

i know, i know. i've been ignoring the online rantings that is me.

what can i say? i've been a busy little girl. i started teaching a design course at my alma mater earlier this month. i must say, it's a little more time-consuming than i thought it would be. there's so much i have to learn or remember in order to reteach. terms, history, methods and real world applications! it's really a lot more involved than i signed up for.

but so far it's fun. there are a few bright stars in my class of eight. there's one in particular that will go far in life and in her career. she's bright, very insightful talented and creative. there are some who are eager to learn and will catch up quickly. then there are others who are there because they've got nothing else better to do. sometimes i want to take my shoe off and beat 'em in the head and scream "your laziness will be your downfall!" "there isn't enough talent in the world that will bail you out if you're not willing to work!"

aside from that, the class is going well. i have to make sure that i'm adquately despensing the information and experience i've gained in while on this lovely treck in the design biz. there's a lot i don't know or remember. and i find my self studying before i go before the ladies in class. this, in the long run, will make me a better designer. but i hope that i'm a good teacher. Lord, help me!
